Illinois was impacted harshly by the flooding that occurred.
Right after the flooding the animals were harshly hit and most of them died. The animals that are still alive don't have homes, the flood destroyed everything.The trees, bushes and grass were all covered in water. Homes were torn apart and not much was left. It is our job to fix it!
It affects the plants by drowning them or having the sprout up from the water and newly enriched soil they received (the flood brings in more fertility to the soil because more sediments are ingrained now). Animals who can't fly would be drowned or carried away.The animal’s homes are destroyed and their food is gone (the food chain is ripped apart by now). The sunlight would stay the same, the climate would be cooler, and the water would be tainted and impure. The amount of clean water available would diminish, because the water sources would overflow and become polluted. Many species died because of lack of water, lack of food, and lack of shelter.
Examples- ~The farm in the picture below, The people with the farm below lost their cows,pigs,chicken,dogs,horses and sheep to the flood. Their farm and house was destroyed nothing was left for them.
